Andres Bonifacio!

To the people in the Philippines, Happy Andres Bonifacio Day!

Since I am all alone here in Korea with no one to celebrate this holiday… I decided to draw Andres Bonifacio and well… Andres (undress) Bonifacio. Well maybe dress him up. And in the process give him the chance to say ‘sup.

Here is Andres Bonifacio the father of Philippine revolution. The revolution against the Spaniards not the People’s Power Revolution. This guy is a pro. That is why he is the father. So don’t bother. It’s his day and that is all that matter…s. 

Being the leader of the Kataastaasan Kagalang-galang na Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan (KKK) or Katipunan, I imagine him to be quite lean and in shape. I did not draw abs and such since I was scared to ruin the drawing and it’s cool that way, anyway, okay.

Here are some of the things that I made for him. His staple outfit and even a custom magical belt thing. Down to some modern day shades and the golden KKK bling. 

A jeje cap. And some golden cuff strap.

Here is what he would look if he had lived in the olden times and was a datu. Or maybe a super hero with a lot of crime fighting to do.  

Take out the golden cuff and give him some cap and shades. He will look like a modern day rapper revolting with some beats and fades.

But my favorite outfit for him would be his most popular attire. A white shirt, red neckerchief and pants somewhat like fire.

But today I want him to wear shades so that we can remember, that then his future was so bright so we celebrate him every November.

So if you see him in your mail one day please say hello for me. And always remember that he did something to set the Filipinos free.

And dress Bonifacio! Don’t forget!
